At UpStaged we want to provide you with an online shopping experience that far exceeds your expectations and reaches beyond satisfactory and comfortable. We strive to ensure that you will be delighted with the product and service we provide and that you will return to us again and again and recommend us to your friends.
Please read these terms and conditions carefully before placing your order. By placing an order with UpStaged you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Privacy
Certain personal information is required before you can place an order with UpStaged. We would like to assure you that any personal information provided by you is confidential and will not be sold/given on to any other companies or organisations. We do assume that all our customers will be interested in our infrequent newsletter mailings and special offers. If you do not wish to receive these e-mails you must tick the box to opt out of our mailing scheme.
Availability
All products for sale at the UpStaged web store are also available to purchase in the UpStaged Leeds shop. As our vintage items are all one-of-a-kind we keep our site up-to-date almost constantly. As soon as we are aware of your order, we change the online listing to ‘sold’ and remove the garment from sale in the shop.
Even if you place your order outside of our working hours there will not usually be any problem reserving your chosen items. There is however a remote possibility of us receiving your order at the same time as another customer online or in store. We will always contact you immediately if you are unfortunate to be in this position. If you have paid by PayPal you will receive a full refund if your order is unavailable for any reason. Our website is not a live system but we work very hard to keep our product availability up to date, this is a never ending task as the popularity of UpStaged increases. New products such as Dr. Marten's boots and Pamela Mann tights can be re-ordered quickly, even if our stocks are low, and we will contact you straight away if it is likely that there will be any delay in your delivery. Please note it is essential that you check for our confirmation e-mail as soon as you place your order as we have difficulty keeping you informed if our messages are in your junk mail.
UK Postage
Whenever you place a UK order with UpStaged for multiple items you will only pay the postage for the heaviest item. Additional items are postage free.
Please allow up to 10 working days for delivery. At UpStaged we do our best to dispatch your purchase is within 3 working days of accepting your order but occasionally circumstances are beyond our control. We will contact you as soon as possible if it is likely that there will be any delay. Customers from outside the UK need to allow up to 15 working days for delivery. You will receive e-mails both confirming the acceptance of your purchase and the dispatch of your order.
All UK items are posted with Royal Mail using First Class Recorded Delivery or a trackable courier service such as My Hermes. We always keep tracking details for packages sent and cannot be held responsible for items damaged or lost once dispatched, nor will we refund the cost of postage once orders are dispatched. My Hermes is a 3-5 working day service, if you require express delivery please contact us for the additional cost.
It is the customer's responsibility to provide a full, correct and valid address. If parcels are returned to us because an address is incomplete, incorrect or invalid the customer will be required to pay for the full cost of re-delivery.
Both My Hermes and Royal Mail Recorded (Signed for) Delivery requires a signature on delivery. If you are not home at the time of delivery you will be left a calling card for you to collect your parcel from your local sorting depot. You must collect your parcel within 14 days, after which time Royal Mail or the courier will return your parcel to us. Once you receive our e-mail notification of your order dispatch please be aware of this and look out for your calling card. Order parcels that are returned to us can be re-delivered but this would be at your own cost.
International Postage
UpStaged welcomes customers from outside the UK, and understandably delivery charges for overseas orders will be higher. It is now possible to choose from UK, European and USA, Canada & Australian postal regions on the secure order form. You will see the price of P&P before you confirm your order by entering payment details. If you are from any other country please contact us for a shipping quote before placing your order.
UPSTAGED IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY IMPORT DUTIES OR TAXES YOUR COUNTRY MAY CHARGE FOR YOUR PARCEL.

Packaging
UpStaged want you to receive your purchase in the same condition as we sent it, so you can be assured that we take care to wrap your items appropriately for transit. To help the environment and keep costs low, UpStaged re-use and recycle packing materials wherever possible so please don’t mind if Jiffy bags, etc. are not brand new.
Payment
The UpStaged online store, with its secure server, accepts most major credit and debit cards and payment via PayPal is also convenient and secure.
Sizes
It is important to be aware that vintage sizes are often very different from those we are used to in modern high street stores. Please see the UpStaged size guide which is used to estimate vintage garment sizes.
If you are in any doubt about the size of a garment UpStaged are happy to provide exact measurements for any item on request, and of course if you are close enough to the UpStaged Leeds shop you can always come into the shop to try things on.
Returns
We are always happy to answer questions via e-mail and every item has the facility for you to make an enquiry. We would rather you found out an item isn’t suitable for you before you buy it than after we have packaged it up and posted it to you.
Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 customers purchasing new items have a period of 7 working days after the date of delivery within which they can cancel the contract and get a refund. However, UpStaged can and do require you (the customer) to pay for the cost of returning the item and the cost of shipping of any replacement item.
Second hand goods are an exception to many of the distance selling regulations and we are not required to refund or replace second hand items simply because you change your mind or they do not fit. We do not hire or reserve items without full payment, many of our products are sold as collectors items and we do not have to refund any item which is as described and suitable for the use for which it was sold. If you contact us prior to placing the order we can sometimes arrange for a store credit note in exchange for an unsuitable item.
We would like to remind customers at this point that UpStaged is a sole trading, independent business with a single store (Leeds, West Yorkshire, United Kindom) which is operated by just a handful of people. This is to your advantage if you want personal communication and an old fashioned customer service style, albiet over the internet.
We do sometimes make mistakes but we always redress them as best we can. We run an honest bue siness in order to earn a living and could not in any way be considered 'fat cats'. Whilst the law is there to protect you and we are only too happy to abide by these guidelines we do ask in return that you take advantage of our communication skills and not our good will. Please do not order items to simply try on, you are required to use a tracked and signed for delivery method for returns and you may be surprised by the cost, which you will be likely to find is higher than your original P&P charges from UpStaged.
All items are listed honestly and as accurately as possible, vintage items are sold accoring to our vintage condition guide. We are human though and we will correct any mistakes we make as best as possible. Customers should however be aware that vintage clothing has usually been pre-owned, pre-worn and pre-loved and probably pre-washed often showing signs of its age and falls under Any major faults will be listed but please be aware of the nature of vintage fashion before placing your order. New products such as Pamela Mann tights, Dean Morris Mugs or Dr. Marten's boots are non-refundable unless faulty. If you have any doubt about the size or style please CONTACT US before ordering.
We hope there is never a genuine need to refund or exchange from UpStaged online store. Should you find a genuine unlisted major fault with your item, you must return items unworn with tags still attached and contact info@upstagedleeds.co.uk within 5 working days of reciept of the goods for a return code number and return address.
We cannot refund any cost of postage either outbound or return.
